Australian Vacation Properties

Growing up, my parents owned a restaurant and were tied to it 24/7.  For us kids, that meant that we didn’t have many vacations.  So, now as an adult, there are so many places that I still would like to visit.  Australia is one of them.

If you still need inspiration for a warm getaway this year, I found the most wonderful vacation rentals in Australia for you below.

PORT DOUGLAS

42 Murphy Street

With strong Indonesian influences and the fusion of stylish architecture and exotic material, this palatial home offers an exceptional holiday retreat, whilst overlooking one of Australia’s finest panoramas.

Seven bedrooms, master with loft sitting area and private balcony.   Six of the bedrooms with expansive views over Port Douglas & the Coral Sea.  Open plan living areas open onto large decks and patios taking advantage of the panoramic views of the mountains, the marina and inlet.  Finest quality kitchen, home entertainment facilities and utility rooms.

St. Patrick’s Estate

Designed by world class architect Jon Johannsen this exclusive selection of Terrace Homes situated within St Patrick’s Estate boasts unprecedented views of the beautiful heritage buildings of Moran House & Cerretti Chapel.

The homes are lavishly finished with Miele appliances, luxury stone flooring to the main living areas and spacious outdoor terraces boasting views of the natural environment.

PALM COVE

113/5 Triton Street

Villa 113, Sea Temple Resort & Spa
From $500 per night

Acclaimed beachfront sanctuary Sea Temple Resort & Spa provides the ultimate luxury getaway environment.  Within the Resort and just a few steps from the fine white sands edging the Coral Sea, this privately owned superbly appointed beach villa sets a new standard in international tropical design. Spacious shuttered interiors and tranquil shaded terraces lend a whiff of romance reminiscent of old Bali, Sri Lanka and the ‘special islands’ of the South Pacific Ocean.

The Villa’s open-plan ground floor comprises entry foyer and television room; plus living, dining and kitchen areas all leading to outdoor covered and open entertaining terraces with water features and plunge pool. Upstairs is the casual-elegant master-suite with dressing room, bathroom with spa bath and private terrace. Two further double bedrooms, also with individual terrace and balcony, and an additional bathroom complete the sleeping areas.

A short walk away, along the beach or through the Resort, is pretty Palm Cove Village with its busy cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques. Top golf courses are minutes away.  Access to the Northern Beaches, Daintree, Mossman Gorge and the Great Barrier Reef and only 20 minutes from Cairns International Airport.

Harbour Lights - Cairns

Harbour Lights – 5 Star rental in Cairns.
From $445 per night

Spacious open plan apartments welcome you and then moves to greet you with the ultimate backdrop – the horizon of the most famous reef in the world.  Fully air conditioned, the elegant furnishings and special intimate touches make your holiday so much more than you could possibly expect.

Every luxury you’ve ever desired in this spacious three bedroom apartment.  Picture-perfect views of the Trinity Inlet or Marina and surrounding mountains. Modern entertainment centre with plasma TV, DVD and wireless broadband internet access. Classical mix of contemporary and tropical d├ęcor. With crisp designer linen, full laundry, two bathrooms and a meticulously equipped gourmet kitchen.

Ooh! I'll take keys to them all, please! That way I can house hop until I find the one I like best!

I totally feel your pain about not having vacations as a kid---my parents are botany professors, so every trip we ever took was work related. Hunting for a particular specimen of weed for three days in the swamps of missouri? not my idea of a fun spring break!

so i'm all about the luxury vacay...even though I've never taken one. Basically I'm happy if I don't have to sleep in a tent, but one of these houses would be a nice upgrade indeed!

Amazing houses. I love the pools and the view. It is such a great experience to be able to stay in one of those house. But, they don't come cheap so coming back to the resort is not that easy and they are almost always booked.
